Last day in Japan. I wanted to go to the fish market where they sell tuna, but I was too lazy and tired to get up early (Jean-Francois told me he went and the tuna auction is actually at 5 in the morning). Instead I slept in, packed my bags and went for a quick visit to Tokyo Tower. Tokyo Tower is kind of a red Eiffel tower. I had very little time so I only went to the 150 meter observation deck, there is another one at 220 meters. The view is spectacular, but the observation deck is all enclosed so it is not super for making pictures. I just made it back in time to the hotel to get my bags and take a cab to another hotel to catch the shuttle bus to Narita airport. The check in line at United Airlines was crazy, I think I stood in line for 2 hours. I barely made it to the gate before closing time, fortunately I did manage to buy some sake! From the Nigata region I was told it is the good stuff. At check in they did not have any exit rows left, so I asked again at the gate and they gave me the last business class seat! Excellent.
